After 15 years of grinding it out in New York City, my wife my 3 year-old son and I pulled anchor and shipped down south to Atlanta, Georgia. It was a bittersweet move. We left a hearty crew of friends, misfits and mentors, but new opportunities were knocking and we really, really wanted a backyard.
The transition has gone suspiciously smooth so far. We bought a house in short order, the backyard has surpassed our expectations, Hannah is loving her new job and I am finding constant work. It feels kismit so far, even if we are missing our community of friends and family.
