About
Born on a pig farm in Iowa. Raised in the Arizona desert. Trained in New York studios.
Back in in High School, I stalked my local Video Store until they gave me a job. Hollywood Video kept me in gas and Taco Bell money, but it also allowed me to rent up to 3 movies a night -- The hourly wage was a bonus. I wanted the movies. I wanted to tell those kinds of stories.
However, film training didn’t exist in Arizona, so I perused Theater instead. But it wasn’t until after getting a BFA in Theater Performance, that my real education started when I moved NYC.
I am often asked, “Why New York and not LA” and it’s a fair question. It’s because New York represented something extremely far from home. Something sexy, different, a little dangerous and beyond the scope of what anyone in my family had ever attempted.
I scratched out a nice living there as an Actor, Spokesperson and VO Artist. In 2008 I met my future wife on a rooftop after a Memorial Day Barbecue and in 2019 my son was born in Brooklyn.
In 2022, after 15 years of grinding it out in New York, the 3 of us pulled anchor and shipped down south to Atlanta, Georgia. It was a bittersweet move. We left a hearty crew of friends, misfits and mentors, but new opportunities were knocking and we really, really wanted a backyard.
The transition has gone suspiciously smooth so far. We bought a house in short order, the backyard has surpassed our expectations, Hannah is loving her new job and I am finding constant work. It feels kismit so far, even if we are missing our community of friends and family.
